Trout Trap Splitboard

I love this board, its great on big pow days, steep chutes and coiloirs, also used it on multi day traverses and its worked out fantastic. My go to split for any conditons.

I’m 58 yrs old, 160 lbs, snowboarding forever, over 100 backcountry days on this board in the interior of BC, mostly deep powder. I was blown away by how lively and precise the Trout felt compared to the similarly shaped big brand board I was riding previously. Up and down it excels on long days with a mix of slope angles and snow conditions above and below tree line. The flex lets you draw tight or wide turns and the tail float keeps speed so you can still throw lots of turns in that low angle stuff between the really good bits of terrain. When we choose mellower slope angles due to Avy conditions the Trout is so much fun. Its great in the trees but as terrain steepens and trees get tighter with features the Voyageur starts to be the better choice. Quality is top and Greg is a great guy to deal with.

Days riding on this board:26-50, Review:Last year California was walloped by 30 atmospheric rivers. If you want a board to get steep and deep in the backcountry, the Trout will take you there. I was deeply impressed by the build quality, value and performance envelope of this board: it feels like a surfboard in powder but is surprisingly versatile and useful on park days with some fluff. Great product, crew and mission from Trapper -- and a great ride in some serious terrain is the result.

Days riding on this board:11-25, Review:The Trout tail keeps the rider in the driver's seat! No matter how much you lean back for that soul carve, the tail will keep you in control. Centre's the rider more on the board and, with the wider nose, gives plenty of loft for that transition into that next turn.
