Howler Overview from Trapper Snowboards on Vimeo.

The Howler is designed to surf pow equally well in both directions as a true twin. While it is a powder performer it's design and characteristics maintain a fun and forgiving board all over the mountain. This board ideally suits riders that live for pow but regularly ride switch while doing so, especially splitboarders that demand a twin. It also suits riders who are looking for a great all-rounder that provides a playful and forgiving feel in all conditions.

Design:
Long broad tip and tail rise provide more surface to engage soft snow while maintaining a short nimble running length on firm snow. Tight sidecut for playful feel.

Rocker/camber:
Light camber underfoot maintains edge pressure, pop and stability. Early rise rocker near the contact points blend with tips for float and forgiveness without compromising edge hold or pop.

Flex profile:
Powder flex in both the tip and tail. Moderately soft flex from binding to tips and moderate flex between the bindings, designed for un-compromised float and carving in powder. This flex profile also provides a fun and forgiving flex pattern in all conditions.

We sent the boys over at Japan Grabs some more boards to play with! Here is what they thought of the Howler.

They sum it up quite nicely if we do say so ourselves - "It really is a quiver-killer for riders who want to keep their freestyle riding going no matter the conditions all season long". But read the full review here and check out their site! Good dudes with some good content.

Use the above chart to find the size that suits you best.

These charts are plotted based on our design and personal experience as well as feedback from a broad spectrum of riders including participants on our demo days.

For the Howler we typically advise going up a size bigger than you might be used to. The reason being is that both the tip and tail kicks are quite long for soft snow performace leaving a short running length. Men generally fit the 159 and 164 best unless they are under 150lbs (68kgs) and 5'5" (165cm). If you are used to shorter boards don't be intimidated by the overall length; instead compare the running length of the Howler to the running length of your current board. The short running length gives the board its maneuverability and the long tips kick in for softer conditions.
