Swift, sharp, and super nimble. The Poacher is spring loaded and ready to take down any target. Bagging the goods and vanishing off the radar in a cloud of cold smoke is what this trapline ghost does best. The Poacher takes our durable, light-weight, and high-performance construction and rolls it into a classic versatile and responsive all-mountain shape. Designed for aggressive riders that dabble everywhere. From ripping groomers and boosting rollers to park laps and not to forget Trappers heritage of shredding pow. The Poacher is our go to quiver of one for the resort rider.
Narrow (compared to our more powder specific shapes) with a moderately tight sidecut for responsiveness and agility with a good dose of stability. Short blunt tips to for a longer running length and effective edge providing excellent control and speed.
Light camber maintains edge pressure, pop and stability while slight early rise rocker near the contact points reduces catchiness and blends with tips for float and forgiveness without compromising edge hold or pop.
All-mountain freestyle flex. Smooth flex across the entire length of the board. To achieve this we apply a stiffer tip and tail and mill out the core slightly between the bindings to soften it up. This maximizes pop off the tip and tail while allowing moderate torsional flex, allowing you to manipulate the board underfoot.
We sent the boys over at Japan Grabs some more boards to play with! Here's what they had to say about The Poacher.
Not the typical board you would grab for Japan (see what we did there....) but Revelstoke isn't exactly renowned for it's park laps and blue skating rinks either.... But read the full review here and check out their site! Good dudes with some good content.Read the full review here
Use the above chart to find the size that suits you best.
These charts are plotted based on our design and personal experience as well as feedback from a broad spectrum of riders including participants on our demo days.
The Poacher is our all-mountain slayer. As such it is sized as you would typically select most other all-mountain boards. Compared to the rest of our line up there is more room for rider preference when choosing your size. This is reflected in the larger overlaps in the above chart. Start with your weight and adjust for your preference.
