Payment Plan Terms and Conditions

This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for the Trapper Snowboards Payment Plan. We've designed it to be as clear as possible. By placing a deposit for a Payment Plan, you agree to these terms.

Part A: How The Program Works

1. Guided Selection Process

Our payment plan is a collaborative process. We will work with you through our 3-phase guided selection process between July 1st and August 15th to determine your perfect board and confirm your final price. Timely communication from you is key to keeping everything on schedule. Final approval of your board specifications is required by August 15th.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Before Final Selection (Before Aug 15th): If your plans change before your final board selection is locked in, you can cancel for 100% store credit. If we are unable to find a board that is a perfect fit for you during the design phase, you have the option of a 90% cash refund and 10% store credit.
  • After Final Selection (After Aug 15th): Once your final board specifications and price are approved, production begins. At this stage, cash refunds are no longer available. We can offer store credit, minus a $100 processing fee. This fee will be waived if we can reuse the components for another order.
  • 10-Day Cooling-Off Period (Post-Purchase Contract): Please note that after your purchase, you will receive a formal Purchase Agreement. In line with BC law, you will have a 10-day "cooling-off" period after receiving that contract to cancel for a full cash refund.

3. Delivery Guarantee

We guarantee your board will ship by November 15th, 2025. If we miss this date for reasons within our control, you are entitled to a full refund of all amounts paid. Our goal is to ship your board earlier, in October.

4. Transferring Your Spot

You can transfer your payment plan and any credit you've paid to someone else at any time. Before August 15th, the new person can start the selection process from scratch. After August 15th, the transfer would be for the specific board that has already been approved.

Part B: The Legal Stuff

  • Our Commitment & Liability: Our goal is your complete satisfaction. Our financial liability under this agreement is limited to the total amount you have paid for your board. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages. Your statutory rights under British Columbia consumer law are not affected by this.
  • Events Beyond Our Control (Force Majeure): If a major event completely out of our hands (like a natural disaster, pandemic, or massive supply chain disruption) prevents us from delivering on time, we are not liable for the delay. We will always communicate openly and do everything we can to resolve the situation with you.
  • Your Responsibilities: To ensure a smooth process, we count on you to provide timely payments, complete your selection questionnaire, and stay in communication with us during the design phase. Please ensure your contact and shipping information remain accurate.
  • Governing Law & Your Rights: This agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Nothing in this document is intended to limit the rights you are guaranteed under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act of British Columbia. If any part of this agreement conflicts with the law, the law will always prevail.

By placing a deposit and starting a Payment Plan, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
