A small board manufacturer focused on quality performance boards crafted 100% right here in Revelstoke since 2011. From building our cores out of locally grown, harvested, and milled timber to sublimating our graphics we do it all in our factory. We use the best materials available to bring life to our well thought out and honed shapes. We take pride in the quality of our product and continue striving to improve it in every way. The construction ensures the boards are lightweight and responsive while the shapes in our quiver provide each model with it's own character. We work closely with a variety of independent artists to finish the boards off with an exceptionally stunning appeal.
Revelstoke and the surrounding area is well known for it's deep powder and incredible terrain which is highly influential for some of our designs. However, they are designed to handle the spectrum of conditions that we all face throughout the season. Even when you're out touring to hunt down powdery lines there is usually some diversity that you must deal with, obviously even more apparent when in-bounds. Plus, even here in Revelstoke we have those powder-less days where we want to get out and have a good time ripping carves and boosting natural hits!
The board building was born in a Revelstoke garage in January 2011. The idea to start crafting boards was sparked while trying to solve the dilemma of adding an inside edge to a DIY split board project. From there a snowboard press was designed and built, materials sourced and procured, and some trial and error was undertaken. By the end of the 2011 season we had built six snowboards and one split board. While being a little rough around the edges and without graphics the quality was there. Over the course of the summer we would setup at the Revelstoke Farmers Market in the blazing heat showing off what we had prototyped. We received nearly 35 preorders by mid-July persuading us to take things further and setup our first proper workshop. We either fabricated or acquired all the equipment we needed to contain every piece of the process in our own shop. We set off onto our first season of full production for 2011/2012.
Since then we have moved the factory next door nearly tripling our space to provide room for more equipment to streamline production and improve our product. We continually seek to improve and develop our process as well as our product.
The heart of our boards is where it all starts. We make our cores from wood we carefully select at a small local sawmill. They pride themselves on getting maximum yield and rescuing logs that are often destined to be turned into lower grade products at larger operations. The raw lumber that we require for board construction is actually an underused product of cutting high-quality timbers, trim, and wood finishings for homes. By working closely with them we are able to minimize the amount of wood that gets wasted while maximizing the quality of the final products made from each tree. Additionally, using lumber from locally harvested trees further reduces our footprint due to reduced transportation. These species are also largely responsible for the strength, durability, liveliness, and lightweight of our boards.
